Central Phoenix Kitchen Remodel

Asian Inspired Beauty

For many, the purchase of a vintage home can be a dream come true. It is not just the charm that is so appealing, but they feel familiar with an inviting warmth while at the same time, offering a tranquil refuge.  The intent to breathe new life into this 50’s vintage had always been there.

Our homeowner believed her kitchen possessed all the potential for creating a dream-space and could envision herself finally enjoying her guests while she prepared food and using her kitchen to express her gift of hospitality.  We initiated our design and pre-construction phase with this discerning homeowner knowing the project would require some creative thinking and resourceful product selection to maintain style and budget.

She requested a painted white shaker door style for the cabinets with a few open shelves.  We specified all white cabinets and integrate texture and color with a counter to ceiling backsplash in a matte white large-scale textural tile, and floating oak shelves.  The oak shelves complement the lintel over the doorways throughout the home.   Hoping for a marble look counter, our homeowner chose the budget-friendly high-end laminate with an under-mount white sink to resemble the look of stone or quartz counters.  The final look is spot on.  We were able to produce a cost-effective solution she was relieved and excited about.

While shopping for appliances a topic of conversation was the function of the vent hood for a gas stove.  It was determined that a re-circulating unit best met the criteria.  The charcoal recirculating filters, abundant LED lighting, and beautiful lines compliment this kitchen renovation.  It was the perfect answer to her design.  This stunning vent hood has become the focal point of the space.

A concrete-look floor tile was specified and installed creating the perfect foundation for the homeowner’s modern design aesthetic. The new floor flows throughout the kitchen, dining room, living room, and entry.  The new floors and baseboard are on point with the Asian inspired design.  The subtle, almost white, Crushed Ice wall color brings all the elements together in perfect harmony.

She truly appreciates the extra effort Homework Remodels made in caring for her home while we were there creating this Asian-inspired kitchen.
